“TFL of New Orleans has been heavily reliant on Google to generate new business, and it has definitely given a huge boost to our sales numbers. We’re lucky that our competitors don’t have a large number of Google reviews, and so we felt a great way to increase our presence online was by beating the competition where they’re weak. We target residential customers and small businesses for reviews, as these are the easiest to convert and the most understanding to our suggestion. My techs use a pitch along the lines of:
‘We value our reputation and we would be very grateful for a review on Google, as these reviews help us grow. Additionally, my boss has an incentive program in place for those of us who get reviews. It would really mean a lot to us if you would take a minute to let us know how we did.’
The incentive program really motivates one of my techs and it has worked well for both of us. If the customer doesn’t leave a review immediately after service then we try and sweep them up using Birdeye. We’ll send the Birdeye request at the same time we send their invoice. Birdeye is responsible for 50%+ of our Google reviews.”
